Cititech Social

Data deletion instructions

Last updated 10 October 2026

This page explains how to delete the data that Cititech Social holds about you, including data received from Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Google and TikTok. Pick whichever option suits you.

1. Disconnect a channel

This removes one connected social account.

  1. Log in to Cititech Social.
  2. Go to Channels and open the channel.
  3. Choose Disconnect.

Disconnecting deletes that channel’s connection and tokens, and removes its posts from Cititech Social. Content still used by another connected channel can remain, and some imported analytics records can remain until their retention period ends. Contact us to request deletion of remaining personal data. Posts already published on the network stay there, and you need to remove them on the network itself.

2. Delete your account

This removes your user profile and access. What happens to shared workspace data depends on whether you own the service account.

Deleting a member profile removes that user’s access and personal profile; shared client workspaces, channels, posts and media remain for other members. Deleting the service owner’s account also removes its workspaces, connected channels and tokens, posts and media, and member accounts. Contact us if you want personal data removed from a shared workspace.

3. Remove the app from Facebook

You can also remove Cititech Social from your Facebook account directly:

  1. In Facebook, go to Settings > Business integrations.
  2. Find Cititech Social and choose Remove.

Removing the app stops it accessing your Facebook data. To have the data we already hold deleted too, email [email protected] with your name and the email address on your account (or your Facebook account name). We delete the data associated with your request within 30 days of receiving it, and we confirm each request by email, on receipt and again when the deletion is done.

4. Revoke TikTok access

You can revoke Cititech Social’s access in TikTok’s account security settings under app permissions. This stops further access through that authorisation. Disconnect the channel in Cititech Social too, or email [email protected] to request deletion of data we already hold. Posts already published on TikTok must be deleted in TikTok itself.

What may remain

Server logs are removed on their normal rotation. Published post history is in any case deleted after 730 days, and unused uploads after 24 hours. Anything we are legally required to keep is kept only for as long as the law says.
