Channel guide / TikTok
Publish your own content to TikTok.
Cititech Social is preparing TikTok Direct Post so clients can select and publish their original videos and photo posts from their own workspaces.
Public posting is not available yet. The current connection uses TikTok’s sandbox. Testing is limited to designated test accounts and private posts, pending TikTok review and audit. Keep public client accounts public; use a separate private test account for a sandbox demonstration.
Connect the right account
A workspace administrator opens Channels, chooses TikTok and follows TikTok’s sign-in and authorisation screen. Check the TikTok account name before continuing. Cititech Social uses basic profile information to identify the connected creator and publishing permission to send the content you choose.
Only connect an account you own or have permission to manage. You can disconnect the channel later or revoke the app’s access in TikTok.
Choose original media
Add a video or photo post you have the right to publish. Review the preview and caption. Follow the account’s displayed format and video duration limits, and make sure you have the necessary music rights.
You may reuse your own original material from another channel. Do not copy another creator’s posts, watermarks or copyrighted material without permission.
Review the TikTok settings
- Account: confirm the connected creator shown in the composer.
- Privacy: explicitly choose one of the audiences TikTok allows for that account. Sandbox testing only supports Only me.
- Interactions: choose whether comments, Duet and Stitch are allowed, where available. TikTok account restrictions can limit these options.
- Commercial disclosure: disclose promotional content as appropriate, including Your brand when promoting your own business. The disclosure and privacy choices must be compatible.
- Music: read and accept TikTok’s Music Usage Confirmation before sending.
Send and check the result
Saving a Cititech Social draft does not publish it or upload a draft to the TikTok app. Direct Post sends the selected content to TikTok when you choose to publish. Follow the status in your workspace, then check the post in TikTok.
If a post fails, check the reported reason, the account’s available privacy options and whether your account is an authorised sandbox tester. Contact support before repeatedly retrying.
Disconnect or delete
Disconnect the TikTok channel in Cititech Social to remove the stored connection. Removing a connection does not delete videos or photos already published on TikTok; manage those in TikTok itself. See the data deletion instructions for account and data requests.
